LONDON — Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer will need surgery on a broken left arm and is expected to miss eight weeks.
Palmer exited Sunday’s 33-0 loss to the Rams at Twickenham Stadium with 5:48 remaining in the second quarter and was replaced by Drew Stanton after being hit by Los Angeles’ Alec Ogletree while throwing an interception.
“Carson will have surgery on his arm,” Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said. “His arm is broken.”
Stanton will be the team’s quarterback going forward.
“Drew’s played and won a lot of games for us,” Arians said.
