Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick on Monday suffered an injury the team believes is to his left Achilles’ tendon, head coach Sean Payton confirmed after practice.
The severity of the injury is not yet known, but Patrick was set to have medical imaging done of his lower left leg Monday afternoon after practice.
“We’re evaluating his left Achilles. That’s what we think the injury is,” Payton said. “We haven’t confirmed it until he gets the MRI, but it wasn’t any contact. It was just kind of coming out of a cut.”
The injury occurred during a 7-on-7 period.
