ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- For weeks the Denver Broncos have said there was plenty of time to get right, that when all was said and done in the regular season they would be where they have finished every previous regular season since 2011 -- in the playoff field.
Well, at 8-5 and in third place in the AFC West with three games remaining in this regular season, they have as good a chance to miss the playoffs as they do of making it.
And while they have had several issues along the way this season, including their own run defense, if they don’t do enough in the next three games to make the postseason the biggest reasons will be their inability to consistently move the ball in the run game and their repeated bobbles in pass protection.
