Broncos Week 16 matchup vs. Chargers flexed to Thursday Night Football

The NFL has decided to flex the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers game in Week 16 from Sunday to prime time on Thursday Night Football. The new start time will be December 19th at 6:15 p.m. Mile High time.

Under the NFL’s new flexible scheduling rules laid out in 2023, they can flex up to two Thursday Night Football games late in the season. Until today, the Broncos had never been flexed in or out of a TNF game. Interestingly, the Broncos gained a bit of an edge over the Cincinnati Bengals with this flex too since the Bengals were one of the teams flexed out of that spot.
