The Broncos on Wednesday announced they had waived tight end Richard Gordon, the third time the club had done so in the past six months.
Gordon, a six-year NFL veteran, was originally signed last October to provide depth at the tight end position but he was waived after only three days to clear a roster spot for running back Kapri Bibbs.
Gordon was re-signed two days later and was active five games. On Nov. 1, in a victory over the Packers at Sports Authority Field, he played five snaps, four of which were on special teams. He was waived a month later when the Broncos re-signed safety Josh Bush, but was re-added to the roster after Super Bowl 50.
