The Denver Broncos officially waived TE A.J. Derby from injured reserve on Tuesday.
Derby, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,392,052 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season.
Derby was waived with an injury designation during the 2015 preseason and later reverted to the Patriots’ injured reserve list. New England wound up trading him to the Broncos for a 2017 fifth-round pick after appearing in four games for the Patriots.
Denver waived Debry with an injury designation a few weeks ago and he later reverted to injured reserve.
