The Broncos parted ways with promising defensive end Kenny Anunike Monday. In a corresponding roster move, Denver brought back safety Ryan Murphy to fill out their 90-man roster.
Anunike had impressed teammates and coaches every offseason since being signed as a college free agent in 2014, but his constant battles with injuries prevented him from showing that ability on the game field.
An elbow injury ended his season before it even started in 2014. The following year Anunike played in three games for the Broncos, making one tackle, but a knee injury suffered during the preseason ultimately put him back on injured reserve.
