Broncos head coach Vance Joseph on Monday said he has not second-guessed himself about choosing to kick a field goal on fourth-and-1 from the Browns’ 6 and trailing 17-13.
“It was the right move for our football team,” he said. “I watched the third down play and it didn’t look good and it was more than fourth-and-1, in my opinion. I took the field goal. We had 4:35 left with two timeouts and the two-minute warning and our defense (was) playing good football. My thought was to at least go three, four, five plays, get the football back and still have three minutes to get a field goal to win.
