Before closing up shop for a few days during the bye week, the Broncos tried out 10 players Tuesday, including former Colorado State-Pueblo star receiver Paul Browning.
Browning set school records with 2,507 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns in 143 career games at Pueblo, helping the ThunderWolves to their first DII national championship last December.
Browning was signed by Cleveland as an undrafted free agent in May. He was waived a month later and picked up by Carolina, who released him Aug. 31.
The Broncos also worked out former Northern Colorado quarterback Seth Lobato; wide receiver DaVaris Daniels (Notre Dame), linebackers Sage Harold (James Madison) and J.
