The young group has been the most uncertain unit throughout the offseason with the loss of veteran tackle Ryan Clady to a season-ending knee surgery. But the leading five — tackles Ty Sambrailo and Chris Clark, guards Ben Garland and Louis Vasquez, and center Gino Gradkowski — looked solid on Day 1, drawing pats on the back from line coach Clancy Barone.
