A team source confirmed that Broncos president/CEO Joe Ellis and general manager John Elway have tested positive for COVID-19.
Ellis sent an email to team employees around 7 a.m. Tuesday informing them of the diagnosis.
The source said the Broncos have “no reason to believe” that Ellis and Elway caught the virus inside the team facility. Team officials held a video conference this morning with NFL chief medical officer Dr. Allen Sills and chief football administrative officer Dawn Aponte.
Ellis did not attend Sunday’s home game against the Los Angeles Chargers because he was not feeling well.
