Having done their blockbuster work last week by agreeing to acquire quarterback Russell Wilson, the Broncos were almost exclusively spectators Monday when the NFL’s free-agent negotiating window opened.
The Broncos signed one free agent, former Green Bay guard Ben Braden, and officially announced the re-signings of offensive tackle Calvin Anderson and tight end/fullback Andrew Beck.
Of the Broncos’ 17 unrestricted free agents, only quarterback Teddy Bridgewater found a new team, agreeing to a one-year deal to back up Tua Tagovailoa with the Miami Dolphins. Running back Melvin Gordon, cornerback Bryce Callahan, safety Kareem Jackson and inside linebackers Josey Jewell and Alexander Johnson remain on the market.
