Playing quarterback on the road in snowy conditions against a better opponent isn’t ideal. Falling behind 15-3 in the first half is even less so. Such was the situation for rookie quarterback Drew Lock, who was 18-of-40 passing for 208 yards and one interception. The official statistics listed the Chiefs with two sacks and nine total quarterback hits. It felt like Lock hit the ground about 19 times. Also not helping was a stagnant running game, which averaged only 3.5 yards a carry.
Defense: First-half no-show
Forget about the Broncos providing resistance once the Chiefs reached the red zone.
