Broncos sign WR Corbin Louks, Kyle Williams (Achilles) placed on IR

The Broncos announced Monday that they placed Kyle Williams on the season-ending injured reserve and signed 26-year-old receiver Corbin Louks.

Williams ruptured his Achilles during the first day of training camp, on a non-contact punt-returning drill. Moving him to IR created space to sign Louks, a 6-foot, 200-pound receiver who spent two weeks on Kansas City’s practice squad last season and was previously on the Seahawks’ practice squad, in 2012.

Louks, a former quarterback, completed nine of 15 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns while adding 60 carries for 380 yards at Utah. He transferred to Nevada in 2009, switching to safety before switching again to receiver, in 2011.
