A rising star of the Broncos preseason is getting a shot with the team.
Fred Brown, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound wide receiver, was signed to the active roster Tuesday, the team announced. In a corresponding move, Denver released wide receiver River Cracraft from the practice squad.
Brown entered the league undrafted out of Ole Miss in 2017 and had previous stints with the Colts and Rams as a practice squad player. He joined the Broncos on a future contract last December and thrived in the preseason with eight receptions for 90 yards and one touchdown over five games.
