The Broncos’ defense got a boost.
A week after losing starting defensive Vance Walker to a season-ending knee injury, the Broncos bolstered their defensive line by signing Pro Bowl tackle Henry Melton.
Melton posted a photo on his Instagram account of him wearing a Broncos ball cap and signing a contract at the team’s Englewood headquarters. The team is expected to announce the deal Monday, along with a corresponding roster move.
A fourth-round draft pick by the Bears in 2009, Melton (6-foot-3, 290 pounds) played all 16 games (one start) with the Buccaneers last season and recorded two sacks and 30 total tackles.
