ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos signed free-agent running back Terrell Watson on Wednesday to fill an open spot on their practice squad roster.
Watson, a first-year player out of Azusa Pacific University, spent the 2015 season on the Bengals’ practice squad. In 2016, he signed with the Browns and was eventually added to the practice squad. Cleveland released Watson on Oct. 26.
In his two seasons of preseason experience, Watson recorded 41 rushes for 187 yards and eight receptions for 35 yards in eight games.
Watson holds numerous records at Azusa Pacific, including career rushing yards (5,756), career rushing touchdowns (78) and career all-purpose yards (6,303).
