As promised, Broncos general manager John Elway finished the NFL draft and quickly went to work retooling the team’s personnel department, filling the void left by Adam Peters and promoting a handful of others.
Tom Heckert, the Broncos’ director of pro personnel the last four seasons and a 26-year front-office veteran, was promoted to senior personnel adviser.
A.J. Durso moves into Heckert’s old position as director of pro personnel after serving two seasons as Heckert’s assistant. Durso was previously the team’s pro scouting coordinator (2013-14) and spent three years as a pro scout with the Browns and five years in football operations for the Seahawks.
