Broncos safety Darian Stewart announces release from team

Having already decided to not bring back starting nose tackle Domata Peko and inside linebacker Brandon Marshall in 2019, the Broncos are also moving on from safety Darian Stewart

Stewart announced his departure on his Instagram account:

In his post, Stewart thanked Broncos fans “for all the love you showed me and my family these past (four) years. But it’s time for me to move on and I’m looking forward to the next chapter. I still got a whole lotta (football) left in me so I’ll see y’all real soon.”

In a phone interview, Stewart, who is vacationing overseas, said his agent reached out to him and he connected with Broncos general manager John Elway to learn of his status.
