Broncos running back competition likely to leave at least one talented back disappointed

Walking side by side, stride for stride, running backs Devontae Booker and Kapri Bibbs jogged out the tunnel of the Broncos locker room and onto the practice field.

Two hours later, it was Ronnie Hillman and Juwan Thompson trotting back through that same door armed with laughter. C.J. Anderson followed shortly with his usual toothy grin. It’s a tight-knit group.

However in between those 120 minutes of a steamy training practice, friendships dissipate and the intensity of the moment sets in. The Broncos running back room is overcrowded with talent and likely underfunded in roster spots to give out.
