After the last piece of confetti fell surrounding the Broncos’ offseason offensive line additions and the signing of running back Jamaal Charles, the reality remains that the core of Denver’s running back picture remains the same. The Broncos run game likely will go as far as C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker carry it.
Anderson and Booker combined for more than two-thirds of the Broncos’ carries and rushing yards last year. Those numbers could remain the same if the two stay healthy this year. The Broncos, though, are counting on a drastic increase in production from 27th to somewhere in the top half of the NFL.
