After going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, tight end Lucas Krull signed as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints. He spent time with the team during the 2022 season and eventually landed on their practice squad. He would make his NFL debut later that season and would sign a reserve/future contract with the Saints that following offseason. He stayed with the team throughout the 2023 offseason and despite leading all tight ends in catches and yards during the preseason, he was waived once again as the Saints were trimming down their roster to 53 players.
