The Denver Broncos have drafted a pass rusher every year since George Paton took over as general manager. Without question it has been a focal point of his when trying to assemble a championship caliber roster. In order to combat the top-tier quarterbacks in the National Football League teams need a solid rotation of pass rushers to chase after them.
In 2021, Paton selected the Ohio State duo of Baron Browning and Jonathan Cooper. In 2022, he took Oklahoma standout Nik Bonitto at the end of the second round. In 2023, they added defensive hybrid Drew Sanders, and this past year took Jonah Ellis out of Utah in the third round.
