Broncos rookie TE Austin Fort tears ACL, out for season, ESPN reports

Broncos rookie tight end Austin Fort tore his ACL in Thursday’s preseason game against the Seahawks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and will miss the season.

The undrafted Wyoming rookie went down in the fourth quarter and had to be carted off. Injuries to Jake Butt and Bug Howard had allowed Fort to get some playing time. Fort, 24, began his college career as a quarterback, first at Wyoming, and later at Chabot (Calif.) Community College.

Broncos’ undrafted free agent TE Austin Fort, who was challenging for a roster spot and playing time, tore his ACL last night in Seattle and is out for the season, per source.
