With Kareem Jackson’s injury clearing the way for Caden Sterns’ first NFL start, the rookie safety vowed to ensure “there’s no fall off” on the back end of the Broncos’ secondary.
“I want to go in there and make sure we don’t miss a beat,” Sterns said. “Obviously, Kareem Jackson’s a great player, so I want to follow in his footsteps so that if he doesn’t play, we’re on the same track as we were.”
Sterns has played 20% of Denver’s defensive snaps this season, the majority of those coming in the “dime” position as the team’s sixth defensive back.
