Phillip Lindsay took a first quarter handoff up the middle for 11 yards in the first quarter Monday against the Raiders to exceed 1,000 yards rushing on the season.
Another milestone for @I_CU_boy.
Lindsay, the Colorado Buffaloes’ career leader in all-purpose yardage, is just the third undrafted rookie in league history to 1,000 rushing yards, joining the Colts’ Dominic Rhodes (2001; 1,104 yards) and the Buccaneers’ LaGarrette Blount (2010; 1,007 yards).
Lindsay entered Monday nine yards shy of the mark. He is the sixth Broncos’ rookie to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a single season and the first to do so since Clinton Portis in 2002.
