Broncos rookie KJ Hamler out “couple of weeks” with hamstring injury; ILB Todd Davis injures leg during drill

Broncos coach Vic Fangio said rookie receiver KJ Hamler will be out a “couple of weeks” with a hamstring injury, but did not have an update on inside linebacker Todd Davis after he injured his leg Thursday.

Hamler did not practice.

Davis was injured late in practice during an 11-on-11 drill against the first-team offense. Davis needed two trainers to assist him off the field and then got a cart ride back to the facility. Davis was being evaluated for a calf injury, according to a team source.

Josey Jewell took Davis’ first-team snaps for the remainder of practice.
