When saying offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello would return in 2020, Broncos coach Vic Fangio cited Scangarello’s “good” working relationship with quarterback Drew Lock as a positive.
“I think the results, although they weren’t record-setting, were good,” Fangio said of the Scangarello-Lock tandem.
Nothing about the Broncos’ offense was record-setting during their 7-9 season. They finished 26th or worse in yards per game, yards per play, passing yards per game, third-down conversion rate, red zone touchdown rate and scoring.
