Hunter Fogel grew up in Iowa rooting for the Broncos, which played a part in him moving to Denver in the summer of 2015.
“To be honest,” he said, “it was mostly so I could go to more games.”
Fogel, 27, said he bought a seat for five Broncos games that first season as the team ascended to Super Bowl champions. In the two years following he attended three or four games a season. This season, he went to just one and won’t be going Saturday night to see the Broncos play the Browns.
He has little intention to return until he sees signs of hope that the team can turn things around after what will be their third consecutive season not making the playoffs.
