The Broncos added him after placing David Bruton Jr. on injured reserve because of a fractured fibula Dec. 21. But they did not need him in Monday night's win over the Bengals, as T.J. Ward and Darian Stewart had recovered enough from their ankle and hamstring injuries, respectively, to be active and start.
Ward and Stewart had their repetitions limited in the 20-17 overtime win, but neither suffered a setback Monday, Head Coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday.
The possible return of Omar Bolden from a hamstring injury also helps the Broncos get back to near their desired complement of safeties.
