The Broncos retained a key part of their defensive line rotation on Saturday by signing Zach Kerr to a two-year contract.
Kerr, 28, will enter his third season with the Broncos and joins Derek Wolfe, Adam Gotsis and Shelby Harris (once he signs his tender) as the team’s top four defensive linemen.
“We’re building something really good here,” Kerr said on a media conference call. “(Coach) Vic (Fangio) is the guy to kind of take us over that hump.”
Kerr said “three or four teams” were interested, but he wanted to return to the Broncos once he saw them acquire quarterback Joe Flacco, cornerback Kareem Jackson and right tackle Ja’Wuan James.
