Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was put onto a stretcher and carted off the field after taking a hit in the third quarter against the Bengals.
Bridgewater scrambled downfield on second down and was hit in the back by Cincinnati defensive tackle B.J. Hill. Trainers immediately sprinted onto the field to attend to Bridgewater as the quarterback laid motionless on the ground for a brief period. They took off Bridgewater’s face mask and immobilized his neck.
The Broncos were trailing 9-3 at the time of Bridgewater’s injury. As Bridgewater was loaded onto the cart, the home crowd cheered and chanted “Teddy, Teddy.
