On the field for around two hours for the first time as the Broncos’ quarterback, Russell Wilson heard the signal to complete the opening day of voluntary minicamp, but wasn’t ready to head inside to the locker room.
“This guy loves practice,” coach Nathaniel Hackett said. “Just out there at the end, he’s like, ‘Wait, we’re done? Can we do more?’”
Done for Day 1, but more is on the way for Wilson, Hackett and the rest of the new-look Broncos. Counting Tuesday-Wednesday, the organized team activities and mandatory minicamp, they will be on the field a maximum of 15 more times through mid-June.
