Broncos QB Trevor Siemian to have elective surgery on left shoulder

Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian will undergo elective surgery on his left (non-throwing) shoulder in the next week or so to relieve some discomfort. He is expected to be ready for the start of off-season workouts in April.

9News first reported his impending surgery.

Siemian suffered a Grade 3 AC joint sprain during the Broncos’ win at Tampa Bay early in the season and was sidelined for the second half of that game and the entirety of the next game, against Atlanta. He missed one other game because of a foot injury, but played through the discomfort of the shoulder injury.
