ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — In the wake of injuries to Emmanuel Sanders and Isaiah McKenzie, the Broncos bolstered their receiving corps by signing Hunter Sharp to the active roster from the practice squad.
The move fills one of two open roster spots after the Broncos released nose tackle Atyhba Rubin and placed guard Billy Turner on injured reserve on Tuesday.
Sharp is a first-year wideout who originally joined the Broncos on Dec. 28, 2016, as a practice-squad signing. In preseason action, he recorded six receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown.
