Broncos promote NT Kyle Peko to active roster; Ron Leary clears concussion protocol

The Kyle Peko roller-coaster continues.

According to multiple league sources, the second-year nose tackle was promoted to the Broncos’ active roster Saturday after spending a week on the practice squad. To clear a spot for him, the Broncos waived undrafted rookie Tyrique Jarrett.

Since Sept. 2, Peko has been cut, signed to the active roster, waived again, signed to the practice squad and, now, elevated to the active roster.

Peko missed most of the offseason and training camp after suffering a fracture in his foot that required surgery. He returned to the field in time to prep for the Chargers, but the Broncos’ defensive line has dealt with myriad other health issues.
