Broncos place WR Kyle Williams (Achilles) on IR, sign Corbin Louks

Two days after losing Kyle Williams for the season with a ruptured Achilles, the Broncos signed 26-year-old wideout Corbin Louks.

Louks was previously with the Chiefs, joining them on a reserve-future contract that he signed Dec. 29. He was waived May 5.

The 6-foot, 200-pound receiver had spent two weeks on Kansas City’s practice squad last season and spent time on the Seahawks’ practice squad in 2012.

Louks, a former quarterback, completed nine of 15 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns while adding 60 carries for 380 yards at Utah. He transferred to Nevada in 2009, switching to safety before switching again to receiver, in 2011.
