Out of playoff contention, the Broncos placed cornerback Chris Harris on injured reserve today and signed cornerback Craig Mager to the active roster.
Harris sustained a broken leg early in the Broncos’ Dec. 2 win at Cincinnati. The Broncos kept him on the active roster with the hope he would be healthy in case they made the playoffs. Coach Vance Joseph said on Monday that Harris had two weeks of recovery remaining.
Harris was a first alternate for the Pro Bowl on Tuesday, but will not play in the game. He finishes the year with 49 tackles and three interceptions.
