Broncos ownership receives “A” grade, but team ranks 17th in NFLPA report card

INDIANAPOLIS — Broncos ownership remains popular with players, but a failing grade for the locker room pushed Denver down a spot the third annual NFL Players Association team report cards.

The Broncos ranked 17th overall in a survey that granted anonymity to 1,695 respondents — an average of 52 per team and 77 percent of the union’s membership.

The Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group received an A grade for the second consecutive season, ranking fifth leaguewide. They are the only owners to rank in the top five the past two years. Current and former players have told The Post they appreciate the daily presence of owners Greg Penner and Carrie Walton Penner, and the resources they provide to foster success on and off the field.
