When head coach Vance Joseph told Denver media Monday afternoon that there was one “clear-cut winner” throughout camp between Paxton Lynch and Trevor Siemian, he was referring to the latter.
Siemian was named the Denver Broncos starter going into the 2017 campaign after a strong performance Saturday night against the San Francisco 49es. Siemian completed 8-of-11 passes for 93 yards and one touchdown. The lone touchdown thrown by Denver was a beautiful 19-yard pass to Jordan “Sunshine” Taylor to give Denver the 20-0 lead before halftime.
Siemian ended his night with a 128.3 passer rating.
