Broncos make three straight picks in 7th

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Broncos made three consecutive selections for the first time in the team's draft history Saturday, with compensatory selections at Nos. 250, 251 and 252 overall.

With those picks, Denver took Northwestern quarterback Trevor Siemian, Tulane cornerback Taurean Nixon and Oklahoma State defensive back Josh Furman.

Siemian finished his four-year career with the Wildcats with 5,931 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and 24 interceptions in 44 games (14 starts). Siemian split snaps with dual-threat QB Kain Colter in 2013 before taking over as the full-time starter in 2014. Siemian tore his ACL in November against Purdue, ending his senior season.
