Broncos make no picks in Supplemental Draft

The Broncos declined the opportunity to select in each round Thursday, sitting out the Supplemental Draft for the 26th consecutive year.

Running back Bobby Humphrey remains the only player selected by the Broncos. Denver used a first-round pick on him in 1989, forfeiting their 1990 first-rounder to take the former University of Alabama standout.

The draft did not pass in silence, as the Rams selected Clemson offensive tackle Isaiah Battle, surrendering their fifth-round pick next year to do so. Battle is a quick, long-armed lineman with some apparent character issues, and is considered a project.

Battle is the first player taken in the Supplemental Draft since the Browns picked wide receiver Josh Gordon with a second-round choice in 2012.
