Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib calls Denver safeties Darian Stewart and T.J. Ward the team's farmers and bangers. It's an interesting analogy for two of Denver's integral defensive players.
When the two didn't play last season (at Pittsburgh), the Broncos' was in disarray. Denver signed Josh Bush and Shiloh Keo off the street to fill in.
The replacement safeties did their job until the cavalry returned, but the Broncos' lack of depth behind Stewart and Ward makes safety a key position to target in the NFL draft.
The Broncos' top reserves in 2015, David Bruton and Omar Bolden, left in free agency.
