Broncos leaning on Mike Munchak’s expertise, improved depth to weather turbulence on offensive line

With Hall of Fame credentials and nearly two decades of coaching experience, Mike Munchak’s expertise has been magnified this year while leading Denver’s offensive line.

The Broncos’ front has played far from perfect, but it has repeatedly answered the bell despite using six different starting combinations in the first 11 games. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said that’s a direct credit to Munchak as well as the unit’s improved depth.

“When they play well, you can blame it on coaching to some degree,” offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur pointed out. “We’ve got good players that do a nice job, but Munchak and (assistant offensive line coach) Chris Kuper, those guys do a nice job with the O-line.
