Editor’s note: Fourth in a series previewing each Broncos position group entering the start of training camp on July 27.
Outside linebacker Von Miller’s legacy with the Broncos is secure. Franchise leader in sacks (106). Eight-time Pro Bowl selection. And Super Bowl Most Valuable Player.
But for the first time since he was drafted second overall in 2011, Miller will begin training camp next week in prove-it mode. Prove he deserves a third contract from the Broncos and prove he still belongs in the conversation of elite pass rushers.
Miller, 32, missed all of last year following an ankle injury in practice ahead of the season opener, but the Broncos still managed 42 sacks, ninth-most in the NFL.
