Wide receiver River Cracraft did not make the Broncos’ 53-man roster or practice squad to begin the regular season, and make no mistake, he believes the coaching staff was dead wrong.
“In my mind, I should have been here in the first place,” Cracraft said. “That’s the way players should think about themselves.”
But Cracraft’s Broncos hiatus didn’t last for long. Just 10 days, to be exact.
That’s because wide receiver Tim Patrick broke his left hand in the opener against Oakland, with surgery landing him on injured reserve, prompting the team to re-sign Cracraft; a third-year pro undrafted from Washington State who spent the majority of the past two seasons on Denver’s practice squad.
