Broncos Insider: Is Garett Bolles Denver’s most underrated player? One report thinks so.

Who’s the Broncos’ most underrated player?

There’s certainly arguments for safety Justin Simmons or defensive lineman Shelby Harris. Both played at a Pro Bowl-caliber level last season and both were snubbed for the annual NFL all-star game. Or how about Alexander Johnson, who became an answer for the Denver’s lackluster inside linebacking corps.

I’m sure Garett Bolles isn’t the first name on many people’s minds, but it was for Pro Football Focus who on Wednesday named the left tackle as the team’s most underrated player.

“While it’s fair to harp on the penalties for Bolles after he ranked among the top-three offensive linemen across the league in penalties in each of the past three seasons, the negativity surrounding Bolles has gone too far,” PFF’s Ben Linsey writes.
