When Brock Osweiler came off the bench to lead the Broncos to a 25-13 comeback victory over the Colts on Thursday Night Football, my first thought was, “I wonder which Brock pun we’ll use on the front page of the Sports section on Friday…”
The answer: Brock-solid win.
And it was indeed Brock solid. The Broncos’ former second-round pick and Cleveland Browns cast off energized his teammates when he came in and ran for an 18-yard touchdown — or as Nicki Jhabvala noted in her game story — the longest touchdown run by a Broncos quarterback since Tim Tebow‘s 20-yarder in 2011.
