ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- As Von Miller turned 29 years old this week, Denver Broncos coach Vance Joseph revealed the team has spent more than a little time trying to make sure Miller remains the pass-rush gift that keeps on giving.
Because while Miller keeps saying of his career, “I’m in the prime," the Broncos know they simply can’t have many, or really any, more seasons like 2017, when Miller was the only reliable option in the team’s rush scheme and had to wade through wave after wave of blockers. Which was all part of the thinking, Joseph said Tuesday at the league meetings in Orlando, Florida, in the decision for Miller to now work with defensive line coach Bill Kollar and put Miller's primary focus on getting to the quarterback.
