The Denver Outlaws received their championship rings Saturday night and were honored during the Broncos’ game against the San Diego Chargers at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. It was the second championship won by team owned by Pat Bowlen in the same calendar year after the Broncos won the Super Bowl in February. It was the Outlaws’ second championship, both within the past three years.
“Without Mr. Bowlen, we’re not here,” Outlaws attackman Eric Law said. “And honestly, I don’t know where Major League Lacrosse would be without Mr. Bowlen and showing kind of the standard of what it means to be an owner.
